The South Riverside Music Partnership (SRMP) comprises six partners Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the music hubs of the four boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham, Royal Greenwich and Southwark.
The SRMP partners have committed to collaborate for maximum impact on the music education of over 130 000 young people in their region.

Royal Greenwich Music Hub
The Hub is charged with enriching the musical education of young people throughout the Borough of Royal Greenwich; providing young musicians from all backgrounds with the opportunity to thrive, whether embarking on their first musical steps or utilizing more advanced skills as a member of one of the three Borough youth ensembles, the Royal Greenwich String Orchestra, Big Band and Fusion Ensemble. The Hub places significant emphasis on both performance and progression across all primary and secondary schools and works closely with local and regional partners to offer young musicians’ further opportunities, designed to both challenge and inspire. |
Lambeth Music Service
Lambeth Music Service was established in 2001 and is the Lead Organisation of the Lambeth Music Network, which brings together over 30 partners to deliver music education to Lambeth’s young people. With 70 professional music teachers, Lambeth Music Service reaches over 5000 pupils every week, supports schools through music forums for teachers, professional development and free music resources. 2000 pupils take part in Musitrax, Lambeth’s unique whole class ensemble tuition programme and 600 attend the Saturday Music Centre. Lambeth schools have access to dozens of public performances annually, special projects with partners, music exams, instrument supply, advice and more. |
Lewisham Music Lewisham Music is funded by Arts Council England to support and deliver music-making for young people aged 5 to 18 in Lewisham. Lewisham Music is the lead music education hub organisation for Lewisham and its hub network comprises over 25 local and regional music organisations. We provide and support: - Whole class instrumental programmes - Small group and individual instrumental tuition - Ensembles and choirs both after school and within our Saturday Music Centre - Holiday courses - Performance events including the annual Lewisham Live music and dance festival - Partnership projects - Training and networking for music education practitioners and school music teachers - An instrument hire service Lewisham Music is a registered charity, Registered Charity No. 1169721. |
London Philharmonic Orchestra
The LPO Education and Community department maintains an energetic programme for young people and families. Our BrightSparks schools’ concert series provides orchestral experiences for school children from Key Stage 1 all the way up to A-level. Other projects work with SEN schools, with GCSE students on composition projects, with KS2 teachers, and with young people outside school in Animate Orchestra and LPO Soundworks. The department also caters for young professionals – the Young Composers and Foyle Future First Programmes support emerging artists at the start of their careers. |

Southwark Music Service aims to enrich the lives of all Southwark children and young people by making the learning of music dynamic, energetic, varied and fun and by working to maximise the many diverse musical opportunities of living and learning in Southwark.
Southwark Music Service also leads the Southwark Music Hub, meaning a further 30 organisations commit to working together to provide high quality musical opportunities for the children and young people of Southwark. The Southwark Music Hub is optimistic that by working together the future of music education in Southwark is bright.

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance
Trinity Laban is the UK’s only conservatoire of music and contemporary dance. Leaders in higher education for music and contemporary, we also provide exciting opportunities for the public to encounter dance and music, and access arts health programmes. The unequalled expertise and experience of our staff and our world class facilities are housed in landmark buildings in Greenwich and Lewisham. Through Trinity Laban’s Learning & Participation programmes, we attract participants of all ages to our one-off taster workshops, weekly classes, courses, creative arts projects and music/dance collaborations whatever their background or ability. Activities include special programmes for participants with disabilities, older people, children and families as well as professional development opportunities for music and dance practitioners. Weekly classes and holiday courses make use of the excellent facilities at Trinity Laban and Blackheath Halls while outreach programmes with schools, community groups and local authorities allow us to extend access across London and the South East. |
